Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual by her age of nine. The ability that helped her get her first position as an Univision producer assistant Miami. There, she collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later hired as a reporter by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories on immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border, she served as a reporter on the 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and later anchor for news at 9 p.m. newscast, which was in English, and a reporter again for at 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. She was also often asked to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her greater responsibilities. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor herself. The show was commissioned as a sports anchor by Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. The anchor also worked in similar roles as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November in 1985. There is an older sister. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother got married to one of the naval architects called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. The summer of 2006, she took an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would accomplish. The campus was beautiful and offered the degree she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked for many years, became a friend. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply moved by his love of journalism.
